[Saba Sports News] Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum rolled his left ankle Monday night during a road matchup against the Sacramento Kings at Golden 1 Center.

The injury occurred late in the third quarter after Tatum drained a three from the left wing to extend Boston’s lead to 78-68. Kings center Domantas Sabonis was whistled for a flagrant foul after crowding Tatum’s landing space, causing the Celtics forward to come down awkwardly on Sabonis’ foot.

Tatum stayed in the game briefly, taking his free throws—hitting one of two—to remain eligible to return. However, he walked to the locker room with team medical staff shortly after, clearly favoring the injured ankle.

The Celtics later listed Tatum as doubtful to return. At the time of his exit, the six-time All-Star had tallied 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists while shooting an efficient 8-of-15 from the field.
