Steph Curry Exits Early Following Nasty Fall

[Saba Sports News] The Golden State Warriors pulled out a narrow win over the Toronto Raptors on Thursday night—but the bigger story was Steph Curry’s health.

Curry exited the game in the third quarter after a frightening fall. Driving to the basket against two defenders, he dished out a mid-air pass to the corner for Jonathan Kuminga. But upon landing, Curry crashed hard to the floor, producing a loud, unsettling thud that left fans holding their breath.

Though the two-time MVP was able to walk off under his own power, he was clearly in pain, clutching his back as he made his way to the locker room. The Warriors later announced that Curry had suffered a pelvic contusion and would not return. He finished the night with 17 points on an efficient 6-of-8 shooting in just 25 minutes.

Despite Curry’s early exit, Golden State managed to squeak out a 117-114 victory behind an unexpected 21 points from Draymond Green and a triple-double (16 points, 11 rebounds, 12 assists) from Jimmy Butler.

The concern now shifts to Curry’s availability moving forward. He had already missed Tuesday’s game against the Bucks with a back issue, and Thursday’s fall only adds to the worry. At 37 years old, Curry has been logging heavy minutes (32.3 per game) with a 29.6% usage rate. That workload may be catching up to him.

The Warriors are hoping he’ll be ready for their next matchup on Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks—but at this point, that’s far from guaranteed.
