[Saba Sports News] If not for the Dallas Mavericks, the Philadelphia 76ers would easily be the biggest disaster of the 2024-25 NBA season.

Despite signing Paul George to a massive contract in the offseason, they’re struggling to make the playoffs. Injuries have plagued the team, but even when George, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey shared the court, they failed to impress.

The man behind this version of the 76ers is GM Daryl Morey, whose reputation as an NBA executive is polarizing.

Former Sixers forward Marcus Morris recently shared his skepticism about Morey’s approach on The Kevin O’Connor Show.

“I don’t trust Daryl Morey. I just don’t trust him. He’s always thinking too far ahead about how basketball should be played. He’s constantly shuffling players in and out. Does he even understand what it takes to play in Philadelphia? You need to let a team gel before talking about A.I.”

Morey has previously spoken about incorporating artificial intelligence into team building, a strategy Morris isn’t sold on.

“It’s like he’s trying to outsmart the game too much,” Morris added.
