[Saba Sports News] A viral video captured a heated postgame brawl between Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets fans at Ball Arena in Denver.
The footage, shared by CNN producer Jeremy Harlan, shows a group of Lakers fans confronting a lone Nuggets supporter in the arena’s concourse after Friday’s game. The Nuggets fan lands a solid punch on one of the Lakers fans before bystanders step in to break up the scuffle.
It remains unclear what sparked the altercation, but the video shows another group off to the side appearing to tend to an injured individual, suggesting that tensions had already escalated before the fight was recorded.
Although emotions were still running high, the situation eventually settled as other fans intervened. Surprisingly, arena security was nowhere to be seen even as the confrontation dispersed.
While not as infamous as the Suns-Clippers fan brawl from four years ago, this altercation still saw a few brutal shots thrown.
On the court, Nuggets fans had the last laugh, as Denver secured a 131-126 victory over an undermanned Lakers squad.
