[Saba Sports News] Dallas Mavericks point guard Kyrie Irving exited Monday’s game against the Sacramento Kings after suffering a left leg injury.
Irving went down late in the first quarter at American Airlines Center after colliding knees with Kings center Jonas Valanciunas.
The 32-year-old All-Star rolled to the baseline in visible pain, clutching his left knee as medical staff attended to him.
Despite the injury, Irving insisted on taking his free throws before heading to the locker room. He finished with seven points, one rebound, and one assist in nine minutes.
The Mavericks have been plagued by injuries, with Anthony Davis, Daniel Gafford, and Dereck Lively II already sidelined. Former Mavs star Luka Doncic also missed significant time earlier in the season.
Dallas, currently holding onto the final play-in spot in the West, could be in serious trouble if Irving is forced to miss extended time.
