Jimmy Butler Drops Epic Quote on His Warriors Home Debut

[Saba Sports News] Jimmy Butler is keeping his priorities straight after making his home debut with the Golden State Warriors.

Butler finally stepped onto the Chase Center court Sunday, helping the Warriors cruise to a 126-102 win over the Dallas Mavericks. While he was happy about the victory, he had something else on his mind after the game.

“First game is a dub. It’s always good,” Butler said in a tunnel interview shared by the NBA’s X account. “Now I gotta find somewhere to live. I got nowhere to live out here.”

Sounds like Butler has some house hunting to do.

The Warriors traded for the veteran forward on Feb. 7, but since the deal happened in the middle of a seven-game road trip, Butler didn’t exactly have time to check out Bay Area real estate.

Though the Warriors are home again Tuesday, another five-game road trip looms. Butler might be wondering if he’ll ever have time to settle in—though with a fresh new contract in hand, he’ll have plenty of options.

On the court, Butler looked comfortable enough, finishing with 18 points and five assists in 28 minutes. The Warriors have now gone 5-1 since acquiring him, proving that even without a permanent address, Butler is already making himself at home.
