[Jolly Sports News] Charles Barkley never misses a chance to entertain—especially when fans try to get under his skin.
During All-Star Weekend outside Chase Center in San Francisco, Barkley was met with loud boos and a rowdy “F— you, Chuck!” chant from the crowd. The fans were clearly trying to provoke a reaction, and Barkley didn’t disappoint. Spinning around in his swivel chair, he fired back by flipping them the double bird, much to their amusement.
A video of the moment quickly made the rounds, featuring both the NSFW chant and Barkley’s unapologetic response.
Barkley has long been a villain in the Bay Area due to his repeated jabs at San Francisco over the years. Just last year, he made it clear he wasn’t thrilled about the city hosting the All-Star Game, taking shots at its issues with crime and homelessness. Unsurprisingly, some local organizations have pushed back on his comments in the past.
Despite the ongoing tension, the back-and-forth between Barkley and Bay Area fans seems to have become more of a tradition than actual hostility. At this point, both sides appear to be having fun with the rivalry.
