[Jolly Sports News] Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown paid homage to LeBron James with a familiar celebration after scoring a touchdown in the second quarter of Super Bowl LIX.

After finding the end zone late in the first half to give the Eagles a commanding 24-0 lead over the Kansas City Chiefs, Brown broke out James’ iconic “Silencer” celebration—pushing both arms down while lifting a knee, a move meant to quiet opposing fans.

James first introduced the celebration during his Miami Heat days, though he has used it sparingly in recent years with the Los Angeles Lakers, most recently after a clutch three-pointer against the New Orleans Pelicans last November.

Over the years, other athletes have adopted the celebration, sometimes even using it to taunt James. Brown’s version, however, appeared to be purely in tribute. Ironically, while the move is intended to silence rival fans, the Caesars Superdome crowd was overwhelmingly pro-Eagles during Sunday’s game.

Brown finished the first half with two catches for 34 yards and was visibly frustrated with his coach just moments before his touchdown grab. However, with his team dominating and a score to his name, that frustration likely didn’t last long.
