[Jolly Sports News] Tee Morant was once again the center of attention—this time, for getting ejected from his courtside seat.
During the Memphis Grizzlies’ 125-112 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night, Ja Morant’s outspoken father was escorted out by FedEx Forum security in the second half. With OKC leading big, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reported that Tee was removed from the floor while smiling on his way out.
Referee crew chief Josh Tiven later explained that Tee’s ejection came after he made “very specific” and “overtly disrespectful” remarks questioning “the integrity of the [officiating] crew.”
Tiven personally requested arena security to remove him, adding that he was aware Tee was Ja Morant’s father. ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reported that Tee had shouted “The fix is in!” just before being tossed.
Interestingly, Saturday’s game featured referee Michael Acosta, who has a history with Ja Morant. Acosta was responsible for Ja’s controversial ejection from a Dec. 2022 game—also against the Thunder—when he tossed Morant for talking to a courtside fan while having his back turned.
Tee has been a **fixture courtside** at Grizzlies games since Ja was drafted in 2019, often making headlines for his animated presence. However, now he can officially add *getting ejected* to his growing list of viral moments.
