[Jolly Sports News] A stunning report on Saturday confirmed that the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks have agreed to a blockbuster trade, sending Anthony Davis to Dallas and Luka Doncic to Los Angeles.
In addition to Davis, the Mavericks will receive Max Christie and a 2029 first-round pick.
Meanwhile, the Lakers will also acquire Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris as part of the deal. ESPN’s Shams Charania first broke the news, leaving fans in disbelief—some even speculating that his account had been hacked. However, Chris Haynes later confirmed that the trade was indeed real.
Doncic has been sidelined since Christmas Day due to a severe calf strain. The Slovenian star, now in his seventh NBA season, has averaged 28.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 7.8 assists across 22 games this year.
Davis, meanwhile, is having one of his best seasons in a Lakers uniform. The nine-time All-Star is averaging 25.7 points on 52.8% shooting, along with 11.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists through 42 games.
This blockbuster move reshapes the landscape of both franchises—and the entire NBA.
