[Jolly Sports News] The Los Angeles Lakers received encouraging news regarding Anthony Davis after a concerning moment during their Christmas Day game against the Golden State Warriors.
Davis exited the game in the first quarter after rolling his left ankle during a misstep while walking. The nine-time All-Star was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game, raising alarms among Lakers fans given his injury history.
However, ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reported that Davis was able to walk without assistance after the injury and is considered day-to-day. Davis himself reassured fans postgame, stating he plans to suit up for the Lakers’ next matchup on Saturday against the Sacramento Kings.
Despite Davis’ early exit, the Lakers secured a dramatic 115-113 victory over the Warriors, capped by Austin Reaves’ clutch layup with one second remaining.
The positive update on Davis only adds to the relief for the Lakers, who know all too well his unusual tendency to pick up injuries against Golden State.
