[Jolly Sports News] Jaylen Brown has been hit with a $25,000 fine by the NBA for making a “throat slash” gesture during Wednesday night’s game. The incident occurred late in the first quarter of the Boston Celtics’ 130-120 victory over the Detroit Pistons.

After throwing down an emphatic dunk in front of Isaiah Stewart, Brown made the controversial gesture in the heat of the moment. When asked about it postgame, Brown admitted he got carried away and expected disciplinary action.

“Just caught up in the moment,” Brown said. “Big play. I think the NBA and [Players’ Association] are sensitive about gestures, so you have to be mindful.”

Despite the fine, Brown’s performance was stellar, scoring 28 points in the game. His Celtics, now 18-4, remain focused on defending their title.”
