[Jolly Sports News] Veteran forward Jae Crowder is set to join the ninth team of his NBA career.
Shams Charania reported Tuesday that the Sacramento Kings are nearing a deal with the 34-year-old Crowder, who has been unsigned so far this season.
A 12-year NBA veteran, Crowder has been a starter on two NBA Finals teams in recent years—the Miami Heat in 2020 and the Phoenix Suns in 2021.
Last season, he played for the Milwaukee Bucks, averaging 6.2 points and 3.2 rebounds in 23.1 minutes per game.
While Crowder has gained a reputation for being difficult at times, his 3-and-D skill set and gritty playing style could prove valuable for the Kings. With an 8-10 record and backup forward Trey Lyles sidelined by a calf injury, Sacramento may have a role ready for Crowder to fill immediately.
