[Jolly Sports News] The Miami Heat are bucking the trend of handing out tribute videos to every former player.
According to Anthony Chiang of the *Miami Herald*, the Heat will not be giving tribute videos to Kyle Lowry and Caleb Martin when they return to Miami with the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday.
The Heat reserve such honors for players who won a championship or made an All-Star appearance during their time with the team.
Lowry and Martin were key contributors to Miami’s playoff success, helping the team reach the Eastern Conference Finals in 2022 and the NBA Finals in 2023.
Martin, in particular, shined during the 2023 ECF, nearly earning MVP honors for his dominant performance against the Celtics.
However, neither player achieved major individual accolades during their three-season stints in Miami. In an era where tribute videos are often handed out freely, the Heat’s decision to uphold their stricter standards stands out as a refreshing exception.
