[Jolly Sports News] James Harden climbed to second on the NBA’s all-time three-pointers list Sunday night, surpassing Ray Allen with 2,975 career threes. However, the Clippers star remains realistic about catching Steph Curry, who leads the pack by a staggering 807 threes.

“I’m confident, but nah, I probably won’t catch Steph,” Harden admitted. “I don’t think anybody will. … He can shoot the s– out the ball.”

Harden’s achievement came during the Clippers’ 116-105 win over the Jazz, but even if Curry retired today, Harden doesn’t see himself closing the gap. As Harden pointed out, Curry thrives in a modern game tailored to his style—a style he’s largely responsible for shaping.

While someone may challenge Curry’s record one day, it’s safe for now. Harden’s focus will likely remain on defending his No. 2 spot on the list.
