SAN Miguel extends losing streak Taoyuan Navigator struggles

[Jolly Sports News] San Miguel Beermen suffered their second straight loss in the second season of East Asian Super League (EASL) competition, Suffered a 101-85 loss to Taoyuan Pilots from P.ague + in Taiwan on Wednesday night at Philsports Arena.

The Brewers got off to a close start, but suddenly fell into a scoring drought in the second quarter and were outscored 28-13. A burst of scoring by the Taoyuan Pilots gave them a 57-33 lead at the end of the first half, and the Brewers could never catch up.

 

With the loss, the SAN Miguel Brewers fell to 0-2 in Group A after losing 87-81 to KT Sonicboom from the Korean Basketball League (KBL) in their home opener last month.

 

As the defending PBA Commissioner’s Cup champions, the SAN Miguel Brewers’ woes were compounded by veteran guard Jericho Cruz being sent off for a vicious foul during the game, Cruz was fouled when he clashed with Peach Garden foreign aid Alec Brown.
