[Jolly Sports News] The Brooklyn Nets might be gearing up for a roster shake-up.
Veteran NBA writer Marc Stein reported in his Substack on Sunday that rival teams anticipate the Nets will trade three specific players ahead of the February deadline: guard Dennis Schroder and forwards Bojan Bogdanovic and Dorian Finney-Smith.
All three are prime trade candidates, given that they’re in their 30s, on expiring contracts, and earning under $20 million this season. With the Nets at 4-6 and potentially leaning towards a rebuild, offloading their veteran players could be a smart deadline move.
Finney-Smith might draw the most interest as a skilled wing defender with a 35.5 percent career three-point shooting rate. Meanwhile, Bogdanovic, despite a foot injury, and Schroder both offer reliable scoring off the bench. Parting with these players could be tough for Nets fans, though, given the positive energy they’ve brought to the team this season.
