[Jolly Sports News] The New York Knicks and Minnesota Timberwolves have finalized the offseason’s biggest trade, sending four-time All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns to the Knicks. Due to salary cap restrictions, the Charlotte Hornets joined the deal as the third team.

According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, the Knicks receive Towns and the draft rights to James Nnaji, while the Timberwolves land Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo, Keita Bates-Diop, and a protected first-round pick from Detroit.

The Hornets take on the contracts of DaQuon Jeffries, Charlie Brown Jr., and Duane Washington via sign-and-trade. In return, Charlotte gains three second-round picks and $7.2 million in cash. This trade also provides the Timberwolves significant salary cap relief for the future.
