[Jolly Sports News] The Denver Nuggets have secured a crucial part of their roster for the future. On Saturday, the team signed guard Jamal Murray to a four-year, $208 million max extension, as reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. This deal ensures Murray will not enter free agency next summer.
Murray is set to earn $36 million this season, with his salary jumping to $46.4 million in 2025-26 and reaching $57.5 million by the final year of the contract.
Locking in Murray was a top priority for the Nuggets, who boast one of the strongest cores in the NBA. While the deal had been in the works for months, finalizing the details took a bit longer. Despite reports of some internal tensions within the organization, there was unanimous agreement on the importance of securing Murray long-term.
