Jackson suffered the injury while playing outside Dallas, breaking a bone in his right FOOT after landing unevenly on A layup. While the Grizzlies have not released a specific recovery time, medical experts say this type of surgery typically requires a seven-week recovery period, with six weeks of no weight on the right foot and three to four months of full return to normal activities, including sports.
Jackson, the 45th pick in the 2023 draft, averaged 14.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 48 regular season games as the youngest player in the league. His best performance came against the Nuggets, when he had 44 points and 12 rebounds while shooting 17 for 36 from the field.
