Durant responded to the moment with humor by reposting the photo along with the caption: “I tried Jennifer.” This was a humorous reference to a viral interaction from 2018 when CJ McCollum responded to a fan named Jennifer, who mocked him for not having postseason success.
While Durant’s attempt to block Edwards might have been ambitious, Edwards’ athleticism makes him a constant threat for such plays. Despite Durant’s near 7-foot stature, he was no match for Edwards on that play.
Edwards, known for his impressive dunks, had previously dunked on Durant during the 2023-24 NBA season, adding to his collection of memorable plays. Remarkably, Durant was even nursing a calf injury at the time, making his effort to contest the dunk commendable.
