[Jolly Sports News] The Philadelphia 76ers are set to add former NBA champion Reggie Jackson to their roster.

Jackson, a veteran point guard, was recently traded from the Denver Nuggets to the Charlotte Hornets as part of a six-team deal. After agreeing to a contract buyout with Charlotte, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the 34-year-old plans to sign with the 76ers. This marks Jackson’s second buyout with the Hornets in 18 months; he was previously traded to Charlotte by the Los Angeles Clippers before signing with the Nuggets and winning a championship in 2023.

Jackson, who has averaged 12.6 points per game in his career, brings championship experience and a close friendship with new Sixer Paul George. Although expected to be a third-string player, Jackson’s depth could be valuable for Philadelphia in the postseason.
