[Jolly Sports News] Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has played alongside many talented stars, but there’s one player he’d particularly like to team up with.
During a Q&A session on the red carpet at the ESPY Awards, Green was asked to name that player. His answer was a bit surprising to some: “LeBron, for sure,” he said without hesitation.
Green and LeBron James have been rivals for years, facing off in four straight NBA Finals from 2015 to 2018. The Warriors won three of those matchups, but James led the Cavaliers to a memorable comeback in 2016, overcoming a 3-1 series deficit.
Despite their rivalry, Green and James are friends off the court, with Green even joining the same agency that represents James. However, with James turning 40 in December and Green turning 35 in March, their window to play together is closing.
James recently signed a two-year, $104 million contract with the Lakers, while Green’s Warriors contract runs through the 2026-2027 season (with a player option).
