[Jolly Sports News] Bronny James is already dealing with a minor injury during the NBA Summer League campaign.
The Los Angeles Lakers announced that James would be held out of Sunday’s game against Golden State due to left knee swelling, according to Kendra Andrews of ESPN. While the Lakers aim to give James as many summer reps as possible, they decided not to risk him in the second game of a back-to-back.
The Lakers’ next summer league game is on Wednesday, and it is expected that James will be ready to play.
The Lakers’ cautious approach indicates their belief in Bronny’s future with the organization, as avoiding a nagging injury is crucial for his development.
In his summer league debut on Saturday, Bronny scored four points on 2-of-9 shooting in 22 minutes.
